Dear Texoma NATS members,
As Governor of the Texoma region, I’m writing to welcome you to the Texoma region of NATS! If there’s anything I can do to help, please let me know. You can find information on this website about our region and its history, as well as contact information for our leadership and information regarding upcoming conference activities.
The Texoma Region is the fifth largest region in the country by membership. Texoma's geographic territory includes the states of Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. We have five districts--North Texas, Oklahoma, Rio Grande, West Texas, and South Texas with seven chapters within these districts--Dallas/Ft. Worth, East Texas, Great Plains, Panhandle, Rio Grande, Greater Houston, and South Texas. Texoma is proud to have had four of our members rise to prominence as president of the national organization--Berton Coffin (1968-70), Bruce Lunkley (1976-79), Edward Baird (1985-88), and James McKinney (1997-98). Diana Allan (2007-2008) will soon become Texoma’s 5th president of the association. Two of our members presently sit on the Board of Directors of the NATS Foundation, while I serve on the NATS Board of Directors. Many more of our members have been nominated and/or have held national office.
To get acquainted with our region, I suggest you survey this website, as well as our FB pages “Texoma NATS--Members Only” or “Texoma NATS.”
