Abstract: Without revealing the identity of the proposer(s), all proposal abstracts should include a statement describing why the presentation will be of interest to Texoma NATS members and students. (200 words maximum)

Proposal: For each of the following presentation formats, successful proposals ought to include the following as the supporting materials:

Lecture: a well-organized outline of the lecture; demonstrating evidence of the presenters' expertise on the lecture’s topic

Some examples of evidence of expertise:
-
History of training, education, research and/or creative activities on the subject matter (e.g., “I studied Russian diction with _______, and I spent one semester of research leave in St. Petersburg)

Evidence of funding, grants, and/or commissioning on related projects.

Presenters should not provide information that reveals their identity

Lecture Recital: a well-organized outline of the lecture; a full program listing; recent recordings of 5-10 minutes of presenter(s) singing selections from the proposed program

Recital: a full program listing; recent recordings of 10-15 minutes of presenter(s) singing selections from the proposed program

Mini-session: Any of the above types of sessions, but deliverable in 12 minutes.

Poster Presentations: For presentations that are not selected for the Artist Series, an option to present your topic as a poster presentation may be provided. Please indicate in your application materials if you are willing to also have your proposal considered as a poster presentation. Poster presentations will be prerecorded videos, limited to 5 minutes each, and the presenter will need to build a PowerPoint presentation with audio and/or video narration.

Supporting material files:

Up to 3 files (5-10 min. total for Lecture Recital, and 10-15 min. total for Recital) accepted.

No video files: only audio mp3 files (because only mp3 can be played on every device and computers regardless of OS).

Each file, 10 mb maximum in size.

Self-filter any signs of identity within the recording: erasing the names within the recording (but labeled clearly).

Presentations should be no more than 50 minutes in duration and there will be no intermission.
